The coinage of the Princely State of Jaipur under Maharaja Man Singh II (1922-1949 CE) represents the final phase of Jaipur’s independent princely coinage before the integration of the state into modern India. The 1 Anna denomination formed part of the rupee system, with one rupee divided into sixteen annas. This 1944 issue was struck in brass and circulated as a regular denomination. Its design combines the Maharaja’s portrait and Devanagari royal legend with the traditional Jhar symbol of Jaipur.
