Shah Jahan III (AH 1173-1174, 1759-1760 AD) Mughal, Bhaunagar mint, Copper Dokdo INO Shah Jahan III, Indian Princely State Bhaunagar ‘Bahadur’ in nagari legend, (AH 1173-1174, 1759-1760 AD), Copper Dokdo, 7.41 gms, 17.73 mm, Bhuangar Mint, KM # C 15.1, very fine, very scarce.
Shah Jahan III, grandson of Muhammad Shah, briefly ruled as Mughal emperor in 1759 with no real power, installed by Imad-ul-Mulk. His reign lasted around 10 months. Coins were minted in his name, including rare issues from Bhaunagar. His rule marked the declining phase of the Mughal Empire.
