The Andhra Ikshvakus Dynasty, ruling in the Deccan region after the decline of the Satavahanas, played a pivotal role in early South Indian history. Centered at Vijayapuri (modern Nagarjunakonda), the dynasty oversaw political stability, promoted trade, and patronized Buddhism, leading to remarkable contributions in art, architecture, and inscriptions.
