Obverse: Name of Emperor within square with knots at each end, Mint Name on left. Legend in the four quadrant, “badshah ghazi muhammad murad bakhsh” in the center square, Zarb surat.
Reverse: Kalima within Square with knots at each end. Surrounded by the 4 great caliphs names and titles on each side: (Siddique) Abu Bakr”, (Adale) Umar”, (haya) Usmaan” and (ilme) Ali”

​This silver coin, weighing 11.17 grams, was struck at the Surat mint during the brief reign of Murad Bakhsh, the youngest son of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. ​The coin is classified as a ‘Kalima’ type. The Obverse features a distinctive square enclosure containing the names of the four Khalifas (Caliphs), encircled by the ‘Kalima Shahada’ inscription.
