Obverse: Wreath around the central hole within plain circle; outer Urdu legend “George VI Kaiser-Hind zarb Bhuj” with AD date.

Reverse: Crescent moon, trident and vertical dagger around the central hole with value below; outer Devanagari legend “Maharao Shri Vijayarajji Dhinglo Kutch” with Vikram Samvat date. 

The Princely State of Kutch in western India was ruled by the Jadeja Rajput dynasty, with its capital at Bhuj. During the reign of Maharao Vijayarajji (1942–1948), the state continued issuing its own coinage while acknowledging the authority of the British monarch King George VI, whose imperial title appears in the Urdu legend on the coins. These coins were struck at the Bhuj mint and formed part of the traditional Kutch kori currency system used in regional trade.

The 1 Dhinglo was a small copper denomination equal to 1/16 kori and circulated widely in local markets. The distinctive central hole design and symbols such as the crescent, trident, and dagger reflect the unique iconography of Kutch coinage during the final years of princely state rule before integration into independent India after 1947.
