Mahendraditya Kumaragupta I, a prominent Gupta emperor (c. 415–455 CE), issued silver drachma-like coins influenced by Western Kshatrapa style. Weighing around 11 grams, these coins featured his bust with legends in Brahmi and a peacock or Garuda on reverse. They symbolized military strength, prosperity, and cultural assimilation during Gupta supremacy.
