Obverse : Brahmi legend kota with a crescent on each side, with dots above crescent on left and right.

Reverse : Front facing Shiva standing in front of bull with is standing to the left; dotted border around.

1 Drachm copper/bronze coin of the Principality of Kota Kula. Kota Kula included Bactria in Central Asia and parts of North Western India, and was ruled by Kidarites or Kidara Huns, These were also known as Huna in India. The Kidarite Kingdom bordered the Gupta empire to the East, Kushanas to the South and the Persian empire to the West. The obverse of the coin features an image of Lord Shiva with Nandi bull, while the reverse has the emblem of the Kota Kula. The coins are hand struck and approximately circular in shape.
