He possesses a strong command over classical Arabic, Persian, and old Urdu, which allows him to accurately read and interpret inscriptions found on rare coins — a skill that sets him apart.
His research isn't limited to just the Sultanate period; he also continues to study and expand his knowledge on coins from the British era, modern Indian coinage, and even foreign coins and currency. His learning is ongoing and ever-evolving.

Mr. Shahbaz Alam is a life-time member of the Rashtriya Mudra Parishad, one of India’s most renowned numismatic organizations. Additionally, he is associated with several other numismatic societies and has even established his own numismatic groups to promote awareness and research.
