Reverse: Urdu legend with Julus Maimanat Manus, Zarb Farkhanda Bunyad – Hyderabad, indicating the mint and the 39th regnal year of prosperous reign.

Issued under Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad, this bronze 2 Pai coin belongs to the final series of the Hyderabad State before its integration into the Republic of India. The obverse bears the Nizam’s regal titles together with the Hijri date and denomination in elegant Urdu calligraphy, while the reverse records the regnal year and the Hyderabad mint with the traditional phrase “Farkhanda Bunyad” (“Auspicious Foundation”).
